What to Expect

25–30 minutes of conversation
Plan for approximately 25–30 minutes of meaningful conversation around a topic that provides real value to senior living professionals.

It’s not live
Raising Tech is prerecorded, so there’s no pressure to get everything perfect the first time.

It’s completely editable
Stumble over a sentence or want to start an answer again? No problem. We can edit the conversation before the episode is released.

Full video + podcast release
We record the full conversation on video and release the episode for our audience to watch or listen.

Who Should Join Us?

We want Raising Tech to feature the people leading, shaping, and experiencing change across the senior living industry.

If you’re joining us from a technology company or vendor partner, we encourage your guest to be a founder, president, executive, or other senior leader who can speak from an industry and leadership perspective rather than a sales perspective.

It is even better if you bring a client with you.

Please limit each episode to no more than two guests.

What Makes a Great Raising Tech Conversation?

The best episodes are educational, conversational, and useful.. NOT a sales pitch.

Come ready to share what you know. That could mean discussing:

  • A challenge senior living organizations are facing

  • An emerging technology or industry trend

  • Lessons learned from a real-world implementation

  • A successful vendor/operator partnership

  • What leaders should be thinking about next

  • Practical ideas communities can put into action

Our goal is simple: give senior living professionals something valuable they can take back to their organizations.

Prepare for Your Raising Tech Episode

We want you to look and sound your best! Because Raising Tech is released as a full video and audio podcast, a few simple preparations can make a big difference in the quality of your episode.

Find a quiet space
Choose a private location with minimal background noise and interruptions. Silence notifications, close your door, and avoid busy shared spaces whenever possible.

Use a quality microphone
Clear audio is one of the most important parts of a great podcast. If possible, use an external microphone or quality headset rather than relying solely on your computer’s built-in microphone.

Check your lighting
Make sure your face is well lit, with your primary light source in front of you, not behind you. Natural light from a window can work great, too.

Center yourself on camera
Position your camera at or near eye level and frame yourself in the center of the screen. Leave a little space above your head, but avoid sitting too far away from the camera.

Choose a professional background
A clean office or professional setting works well. A polished virtual background is also welcome. Keep it simple and free of distractions so the focus stays on the conversation.

Check your internet connection
A strong, stable internet connection helps us capture the best possible video and audio. If you have the option to use a wired connection, even better.

Do a quick tech check
Before joining, take a moment to test your camera and microphone and make sure your device is charged or plugged in.

Most Importantly, Come Ready to Have a Conversation

You don’t need a script, and you don’t need to be perfect. Raising Tech is meant to feel like a natural conversation between industry professionals, not a formal presentation.
